What's hindering your workplace performance? Technology Dinosaurs.

tuyen dung qua internetKeeping up with technology is essential in the business world today. Several devices and software companies have changed the daily conducting of business. Often when people look at their company’s technology level they think about hardware, computers, software, services, and etc. What they fail to oversee is the technology level of their actual people and how it relates to workplace performance. Technical abilities don’t have to be the same across a company. For example, the technical abilities of a person in sales and IT department will most likely be very different.

“So where is the problem?”

The problem lies in the advancement of technology, something externally relative to the company’s growth. As technology changes and evolves, so must the technology level of individuals.

I am sure everyone has felt some pain from the advancements in technology. I know I have spent some time looking for spell check when Microsoft Office was updated

This “need” falls on the company, it’s crucial for companies to engage in employee development. This development will ultimately affect the employee’s performance, knowledge, and even sometimes their role in the company. Companies shouldn’t see new technology as a challenge or spending requirement for employees, but as an opportunity to develop their employees to perform better.
